Binance and OKX New-User Rewards: Welcome Tasks, Boosted Earn APR and New-User Competitions
On this page
New Binance and OKX users can join campaigns reserved for newcomers: rewards for a first deposit and trade, boosted new-user earn rates, starter packs and new-user trading competitions. They usually have a time limit (for example within 30 days of registration), so it pays to know them before you sign up.
We have tracked 13 new-user campaigns — see new-user rewards for live ones.
Common new-user rewards
- Welcome tasks: complete verification, a first deposit and a first trade within a set number of days to receive vouchers or trial funds.
- New-user earn boosts: a much higher APR on a small amount (for example the first few hundred USDT) for a short term. Some are limited to new users in specific countries or regions.
- Starter packs and carnivals: complete a set of tasks during a period to share a reward pool.
- New-user trading competitions: volume contests open only to new users, usually with lower thresholds.
- P2P welcome offers: zero fees or a bonus on a first P2P trade.
How to claim
- Enter a referral code at sign-up and verify your identity promptly — many task windows start from verification. See the Binance sign-up guide and OKX sign-up guide.
- Open the rewards or task centre in the app to see the new-user tasks available to you and their deadlines.
- Some tasks require you to click "Join" first; only actions after that count.
- Deposit, trade or subscribe as required. Rewards go to the rewards hub; vouchers must be claimed and used before they expire.
Details people miss
- Time limits: new-user status usually lasts only a while after registration.
- Regional limits: many new-user offers are only for certain countries or regions — for example some earn boosts are only for new users in Latin America or the CIS. The announcement title often names the region.
- Amount caps: boosted APR applies only to a small first tranche; the rest earns the normal rate.
- Vouchers aren't cash: fee vouchers and futures trial funds have conditions and expiry dates.
- Don't overtrade for rewards: welcome-task thresholds are low; complete them and stop.
Are new-user earn boosts worth it?
They're low risk (usually USDT or USDC) but capped.
Example (illustrative numbers): 30% APR on up to 300 USDT for 7 days earns about 300 × 30% × 7 ÷ 365 ≈ 1.7 USDT. Not much, but nearly risk-free and a good way to learn the earn products. More on earn campaigns in the earn promotions guide.
FAQ
How long do I count as a new user?
It depends on the campaign — commonly 7, 14 or 30 days after registration. The campaign page defines it.
Can I join new-user campaigns without a referral code?
Most don't require one, but some referral-only rewards are limited to users who signed up through a referral.
Why didn't my new-user reward arrive?
Usually because you didn't join first, missed the deadline, are outside the eligible regions, or the reward is waiting in the rewards hub to be claimed.
