Binance Launchpool and HODLer Airdrops: How to Join and How Rewards Are Calculated

On this page

Launchpool and HODLer Airdrops are the most popular Binance new-token campaigns. Both give you new tokens before listing without touching your principal, but they work very differently: Launchpool needs you to stake after the announcement, while HODLer Airdrops use a retroactive snapshot and pay out automatically. That difference is why buying BNB after you see an airdrop announcement rarely works.

We track every Launchpool and HODLer Airdrop round (4 HODLer Airdrops so far); each campaign page lists the period, reward pool and accepted assets.

How they differ

Launchpool HODLer Airdrops
How to join Actively stake BNB, FDUSD etc. into a pool Automatic for BNB held in Simple Earn
Announced in advance Yes, farming starts after the announcement No, the snapshot has usually ended by then
How rewards are split Your hourly share of the pool Your share of BNB in Simple Earn during the snapshot
Payout Accrues hourly, claim any time Sent to your spot wallet before listing
Principal Redeem any time Keeps earning Simple Earn interest

Eligibility

  1. A Binance account with identity verification — see the Binance sign-up guide.
  2. You are not in a restricted region (such as mainland China or the United States); some projects exclude extra countries.
  3. BNB for both campaigns; Launchpool sometimes also has FDUSD or USDC pools.

Launchpool step by step

  1. When a "Binance Launchpool: Introducing …" announcement appears, note the start time, accepted assets and rewards per pool.
  2. Open Launchpool in the Binance app, pick the project and asset, enter an amount and confirm.
  3. Rewards accrue hourly based on your share of the pool and can be claimed to your spot wallet at any time.
  4. Redeem your stake when farming ends; the token usually starts trading at the time in the announcement.

HODLer Airdrops step by step

  1. Subscribe BNB to Simple Earn (Flexible or Locked) or the On-Chain Yields products the announcement accepts.
  2. Do nothing else. Binance records your BNB balance repeatedly during a snapshot window that is announced afterwards.
  3. After the announcement, the airdrop arrives in your spot wallet before the token lists.

Because the snapshot usually ends before the announcement, buying BNB afterwards normally misses that round; keeping BNB in Simple Earn long-term is how you catch every one. Where airdrops land and how to check them: how to check HODLer Airdrops.

Estimating rewards

Your reward ≈ your stake ÷ total stake in the pool × pool rewards

Example (illustrative numbers): a Launchpool BNB pool distributes 30 million tokens with an average of 15 million BNB staked. With 10 BNB your share is about 0.0000667%, or roughly 2,000 tokens. At an opening price of 0.05 USDT that's about 100 USDT.

Two caveats:

  • Total stake keeps changing: as more people join, your share shrinks, so early estimates are only estimates.
  • Small per round, steady over time: with so much BNB participating, each round pays modestly but carries almost no extra risk; the return comes from joining every round.

Comparing past rounds side by side helps — see the Launchpool history and HODLer Airdrops history for every project, pool size and period.

Common pitfalls

  • BNB sitting in the spot wallet: HODLer Airdrops only count BNB in Simple Earn; spot and futures balances don't.
  • Ignoring BNB's price: the real risk is BNB itself — a small move in BNB can outweigh the airdrop.
  • No plan for the new token: prices swing hard in the first hours after listing; decide beforehand whether to sell or hold.
  • Phishing: only use the official app or website. Any "airdrop claim link" is a scam.
  • Per-user caps: most pools cap the stake or reward per account; anything above the cap earns nothing.

FAQ

Can I lose the BNB I stake in Launchpool?

Not to the campaign — you can redeem it at any time and the rewards are extra. Its market value still moves with BNB's price.

Do I need to register for HODLer Airdrops?

No. If your BNB was in an eligible Simple Earn product during the snapshot, you receive the airdrop automatically.

Is the FDUSD pool worth it?

It avoids BNB price exposure, which suits people who don't want to hold BNB, but the reward per dollar can differ a lot from the BNB pool depending on that round's rewards and participation.

When is the next Launchpool?

Live and upcoming projects are on the Launchpool page; HODLer Airdrops are on HODLer Airdrops.
