How to Join OKX Jumpstart: Staking Guide, Reward Calculation and What to Watch
On this page
Jumpstart is OKX's new-token launch platform. The most common format is mining: during a set period you stake OKB or other assets named in the announcement into a project pool and receive the new token in proportion to your share; your stake is returned when mining ends. It's similar to Binance Launchpool, with different assets and rules.
We have tracked 10 Jumpstart announcements — see the Jumpstart page for the latest.

Eligibility
- A verified OKX account — see the OKX sign-up guide.
- You are not in a restricted region; some projects exclude extra countries.
- The staking asset named in the announcement, usually OKB.
Step by step
- When an "OKX Jumpstart: introducing …" announcement appears, note the mining period, accepted assets, rewards per pool and per-user cap.
- Before mining starts, have the asset in your OKX Funding account (transfer it from the Trading account if needed).
- Open Jumpstart in the app, choose the project and pool, enter an amount and confirm.
- Track your mined amount during the period; tokens are distributed and your stake returned when mining ends.
- Check the listing time — tokens can arrive before trading opens.
Estimating rewards
Your reward ≈ your stake ÷ total pool stake × pool rewards
Example (illustrative numbers): an OKB pool distributes 5 million tokens with an average of 2 million OKB staked. Staking 50 OKB gives a 0.0025% share, about 125 tokens; at an opening price of 0.4 USDT that's about 50 USDT.
Pool size changes throughout mining, so early estimates are only estimates. Most projects cap the stake per account, which limits returns for larger holders.

What to watch
- OKB price risk: the mined tokens are usually worth far less than OKB's own price swings. Buying OKB just to mine adds spread and price risk.
- New-token volatility: decide beforehand whether you'll sell or hold.
- Wrong account: staking usually draws from the Funding account; transfer first if it says insufficient balance.
- Official app only: any message asking you to send coins to a "Jumpstart contract address" or to "reserve a quota" is a scam.
FAQ
Can I lose the OKB I stake?
The campaign doesn't take your stake — it's returned after mining — but OKB's market price can fall in the meantime.
How often does Jumpstart run?
Irregularly, and in recent years less often than Binance's token campaigns. New rounds appear on the Jumpstart page.
When can I sell the mined tokens?
At the listing time in the announcement; tokens may arrive earlier but can't be traded until then.
